DVD-R media →
Remember how I said it was important not to go cheap on DVD-R media? This link is to a shop that sells these highly reliable Taiyo Yuden DVD-R blank discs (which you can print directly to). Perhaps pitch in together as a group to get an entire spindle?

Invaluable resource for considering the ‘problems’ of practice-led research, and in particular the role of the ‘artefact’ in relation to the ‘project’.

Exiting from FCP checklist
Seven steps to getting out of final cut pro: Save all: Option-Apple-S Close project: Apple-W Reset System Settings so that the Scratch disk is the same as when you started your session (Shift-Q) Quit FCP (Apple-Q) Remove tape from camera Power down camera Recharge battery on camera

You know I’ve been battling on about 720x576 pixles for PAL video? Well, it’s been kind of a fib, and at some point I needed to lay this information on you all. I figured it was better sooner than later. This link is the best thing I could find that CLEARLY explains what is actually a damn confusing issue. It still frustrates me, many years after I first encountered it, but there...
Assessment 1 running order
Here is the running order for your first assessment on 6 May. It was determined by a random number generator that utilises atomospheric noise - and you can’t get anymore random than that apparently. 1. DH 2. CM 3. KL 4. TM 5. AC 6. MM

Fantastic tutorial covering stuff we covered yesterday in terms of logging and capturing. Two things: it’s for a much older version of fcp, AND it’s American centric (so you might see the occasional reference to NTSC video.
